A special From the Lighthouse presentation: an evening of poetry and song in China! Featuring Toby Davidson, Jane Messer and Hsu-Ming Teo reading their works, with musical accompaniment by Shu-Cheen Yu.

Event Program

Australian literature today: Toby Davidson
Reading 1: Jane Messer from her novel Hopscotch, a novel set in present-day Sydney
Reading 2: Toby Davidson, poems about Australia from his collection Beast Language
‘Lotus Moon and Willow Spirit Songs’: opera singer Shu-Cheen Yu and novelist Hsu-Ming Teo perform a series of Chinese and Australian songs, and paired Chinese-Australian stories:
